• Asset ProtectionOwnership as Tenants by Entirety

Asset ownership by spouses as Tenants by Entirety may also be advantageous as a creditor of only one spouse has no rights to assets held as Tenants by Entirety.

In other words, only a creditor of both spouses has rights in Tenants by Entirety assets.

This form of ownership may be desirable in situations where one spouse’s occupation may subject them to significant liability such as Doctors and Lawyers.
